TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI
There is a phrase that we use in Tupelo–the Tupelo Spirit. It’s a spirit of community leadership, cooperation and servanthood–in essence, it’s “going the extra mile.”
Our city is full of these selfless citizens who are always available to do whatever is needed. Today we celebrate three citizens who exemplify that spirit–Dr. Richard Price, Mayor’s Outreach Task Force; Ms. Hannah Maharrey, Homeless Task Force and Ms. Kathryn Rhea, Keep Tupelo Beautiful.
I thank them for giving their time, talents and resources to sustain and enhance the City of Tupelo. Thank you for going the extra mile.
