ELKINS — The City of Elkins is looking for heroes who are willing to go that proverbial “extra mile.”
Nov. 1 is Extra Mile Day across the nation, and Elkins Mayor Jerry Marco is asking for nominations from the public.
On Extra Mile Day, mayors of more than 500 cities across the nation will recognize three individuals or organizations in their local areas that “go the extra mile” in volunteerism and service. The nominees are those who make significant contributions to make the city better. [Read more…]
