Volunteers who go the extra mile in service and selfless contribution in order to make a difference in their local communities are being celebrated across America on Extra Mile Day. On November 1, mayors from all fifty states are making a declaration to celebrate the significant impact and difference-making contribution that volunteers make.

Tucson, Arizona, Mayor Jonathan Rothschild has made the November 1 Extra Mile Day declaration. “I am constantly impressed by how many Tucsonans go the extra mile in their work, in their volunteer activities, and in their daily lives.
