Extra Mile Day celebrates the capacity we each have to create positive change in families, organizations, communities and ourselves when we “go the extra mile”. It is also a day to recognize individuals and organizations who are “going the extra mile” in volunteerism and service to make the world a bit better for the rest of us.
The Newark Village Board voted in favor of making November 1, 2024 Extra Mile Day, and Mayor Jonathan Taylor made this proclamation:
