MIDLAND — Just a few days away from a new month and Midland Mayor Jerry Morales declares November 1, 2014 “Extra Mile Day.”
Extra Mile America is a movement encouraging positive change in ourselves, families and communities. The movement started in 2009 when founder Shawn Anderson rode his bike 4,000 miles cross country, interviewing people who go the extra mile in their towns.
In 2009, 23 U.S. cities participated and this year 500 mayors across the country are expected to get on board. (See video)…[Read more…]
