A smile can make a huge difference in someone’s day; hence, the philosophy behind “Extra Mile Day.”
Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland has declared Nov. 1 “Extra Mile Day” and is encouraging members of the community to take a little time out for others.
“(Extra Mile Day) encourages each individual, not necessarily in a group, to do something for someone that you don’t usually do. It could be just a thank you to our military or emergency service person, running an errand for someone, visiting a shut-in, taking someone to lunch.
