Saturday is All Saints Day, a church holiday honoring the holiest who have walked among us. It also now is a day to honor volunteers doing good here in the U.S. — including Elgin.
For Nov. 1 is Extra Mile Day, an effort set up in recent years by California-based Extra Mile America.
