Elgin is one of 500 cities across the nation to recognize and participate in “Extra Mile Day America” on November 1, 2014. The” Extra Mile Day” effort encourages all individuals in our community to take time to not only “go the extra mile” in his or her own life, but to also acknowledge those who are inspirational in the efforts and commitments they make to improve their, families, community, and country.
