HICKORY — The new splash pad at Kiwanis Park is a big success, and Kiwanians plan to name it after one of the most ardent leaders in the effort to make the popular water feature a reality.
The Hickory Kiwanis Club and the Kiwanis Club of Western Catawba County voted unanimously to honor the late Charles Dixon for his commitment to children and his dedication to the Zahra Baker All Children’s Playground and the splash pad at Kiwanis Park. [Read more…]
