FLORENCE — Mayor Andy Betterton has proclaimed this Friday as “Extra Mile Day,” joining some 550 cities across America in the campaign.
Extra Mile Day urges people to take time on Nov. 1 to “go the extra mile” in their own life, and also to “acknowledge all those who are inspirational in their efforts and commitment to make their organizations, families, community, country or world a better place,” Betterton’s proclamation states.
